Laundré (“Laundré”, “we”, “us”, “our”) runs self-service laundromats and dog washes, a laundromat franchise and this website. We respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you can contact us about it.
What we collect
- Details you give us — your name, email, phone number, preferred store and message when you use our contact, franchise or subscribe forms, email us or call us.
- Franchise enquiries — any extra details you choose to share about your location, budget or background when you enquire about owning a Laundré.
- Website usage — pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location and how you arrived at our site, collected with cookies and similar tools (see below).
- In-store CCTV — our stores are monitored by security cameras for the safety of customers and staff and to protect the premises.
- Payments — in-store payments are processed by our payment providers. We don’t receive or store your full card number.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry, feedback or complaint.
- To assess and follow up franchise enquiries.
- To send updates, offers or store-opening news you’ve asked for (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- To run, secure and improve our stores and website.
- To measure and improve our advertising.
- To meet our legal obligations.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
We use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and advertising tools from Google and Meta (Facebook and Instagram). These use cookies to help us understand how people use our site and to show relevant ads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and manage ad preferences in your Google and Meta account settings.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your personal information. We may share it with:
- the Laundré store owner or franchisee your enquiry relates to;
- service providers who help us run our business, such as website hosting, email, customer-management, payment, security and marketing providers;
- our professional advisers; and
- government agencies or others where the law requires or allows it.
Some of these providers (for example Google and Meta) may store information outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to ensure they handle it in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Keeping it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep it only as long as we need it, then delete or de-identify it.
Accessing or correcting your information
You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you by contacting us. We’ll respond within a reasonable time, usually 30 days.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we’ve handled your personal information, please contact us first and we’ll do our best to resolve it. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
