Using Laundré
What are your opening hours?
Most Laundré stores are open 7 days a week, 365 days a year — including public holidays and Christmas Day. Southport is open 24 hours, Coomera 5am–10pm and Tweed Heads South 5:30am–10pm. Check your store page for exact hours.
Do you accept coins or cash?
No — every Laundré is 100% cashless. Tap your card, phone or watch at the pay station (Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay). Going cashless keeps things more hygienic, stops coin jams and means there’s no cash kept on site.
How do I use the machines?
1. Select your machine number at the pay station. 2. Tap to pay. 3. Load your laundry and press start. That’s it.
Is hot water extra?
No. Warm and hot water washes are free at Laundré — you pay the same price whichever temperature you choose.
Can I bring my own detergent?
Absolutely. Our customers tell us they prefer their own detergent because of skin sensitivities, fragrance preferences and stain treatments, so every Laundré caters for whatever you like to use.
Is laundry soap available in store?
Yes. Laundré Pods are available in store for $3.30 (two pods per pack). Throw a pod into the empty drum, add your laundry on top and press start — no need to cut them open.
Is there parking?
Yes. Every Laundré site is chosen for ample parking close to the entry, so carrying big loads is easy.
Do you offer wash, dry & fold or drop-off?
No. Laundré is self-service only. It means the machines, floor space and folding benches are always free for customers — not tied up with the owner’s service washes.
Is it safe to visit early or late?
Our stores are brightly lit with open floor plans (no hidden corners), UHD CCTV, a live PA system and regular security checks throughout the day.
Machines & pricing
How much are the washing machines?
Washers start at $7 for a 9 kg machine (a typical home machine holds about 7 kg). Our largest 27 kg machine is $16. Medium 14 kg is $10 and large 18 kg is $13.
How much are the dryers?
Large dryers are $1 for 5 minutes (about three times the size of a home dryer). Extra-large dryers are $1 for 4 minutes (about five times the size).
How much should I put in a dryer?
Airflow is everything. Leave plenty of room for clothes to tumble — if you have a lot, split it across two dryers. An overstuffed dryer takes much longer and costs more.
Can I wash a doona or quilt?
Yes — this is one of the most popular reasons people visit. An 18 kg machine suits most queen doonas and the 27 kg machine handles king doonas, heavy blankets and bulky bedding.
Pets & dog wash
Can I wash pet bedding?
Yes — but please use the pet-only washer and dryer, not the general machines. It keeps pet hair and allergens away from everyone else’s clothes.
Do you have a dog wash?
Our Southport, Coomera and Tweed Heads South stores have a self-serve dog wash / bath alongside the pet-only laundry machines.
